Black fantastic!

A few years back the LA Times or NYT had a nice piece on the Gullah Bible effort. It included a recording wherein you could listen to the Bible being read by a Gullah speaker. On the other hand this is also the complicated story of cultural imperialism and local resistance that is still being played out all over the black world. kzs

I LOVE the Gullah language. I'll be looking out for the recorded version of the Gullah translation of the Bible. My Dad also would love to have a copy.
I'm looking forward to learning more about the culture, which I can find in my own family tree!
Peace,
Alica
