Winter Hat in the Summer Time

I took Gigi over to a friend's house today and before we headed for the door I spotted a winter hat on her head. I said, "Sweetie it's way too hot for that hat." (It's 90 degrees here y'all). Thankfully she took it off, but frankly, it's the kind of thing I would have done at her age......sometimes some of the crazy gets passed on.

She was! It's a purple, green, and turquoise-colored had she's had since she was about 4 years old. I wish I had taken a picture. Although, I can still do that. The hat is where she left it just as you walk inside the house......think I will.

You young ladies don't have the crazies, just the habits. Winter and a cool spring will put you in the habit of grabbing a sweater and cap. Wait till summer get here real good, Gi want even think about a hat.

LOVE YOU BOTH

neteru alicia,

winter hat in the summer time. did you ask her why she chose to wear? i picked up my dad to go grocery shopping and he was wearing golf shoes. i asked him why and he said because they are safer for walking on ice. at that time we lived in colorado. i continued our shopping without a word as the other shoppers stared at him throughout the market.

Hello Sister,

Your dad sounds like a man who knows what he needs and is comfortable with himself. I love that. My daughter is very fond of that hat and she loves the way it looks on her. Also, like I did when I was her age, she tends to grab a jacket and sometimes a hat, no matter what the weather is.

:-)

Peace,
Alicia
