Remembering James Avery: Father Figure
Not only is this a great memory of James Avery (may he Rest in Peace), but this is also some fine acting by all three actors shown here in the final episode of Season 4 of “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air”: Will Smith, Ben Vereen, and Avery.
“How come he don’t want me?” …..Wow.

Yes, that was sad. But it showed James Avery in such a good light. That was a good acting moment for him, as well as for Will Smith and Ben Vereen, who probably doesn't get the credit he deserves.
A lot of absent Dads need to see this clip.

What's great about this clip is that although Will's Dad was disappointing, to say the least, James Avery's character is right there to support him and be the Dad that he needs. And all these men in this scene are really doing some good acting.
May he Rest in Paradise.

Me too! I tear up everytime I see it. This was great acting and I'm so proud of all three of them.
